After the first introduction at CES 2017 in January, until now ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom is officially on sale in the United States. To own the unlocked version, customers will have to pay $329.
The new version of ASUS comes with the two striking features, including a dual-rear camera setup and its huge battery. The ZenFone 3 Zoom is said to have the rear with two 12 MP sensors. The former features a f/1.7-aperture, 25 mm wide-angle lens; whereas, the latter will make you more impressed with a 59 mm camera for instant 2.3X optical zoom. Besides, the phone also adds a new autofocusing function, known as TriTech+. More specifically, it is operated by a laser autofocus system, subject tracking, and dual pixel phase detection autofocus technologies. Thanks to that, users can focus on its subject in as little as 0.03 seconds. A 13 MP front-facing selfie camera is also another noteworthy strong point.
In terms of power, the ZenFone 3 Zoom offers a huge 5,000 mAh battery which can endure up to 42 days on standby with one charge, together with up to 6.4 hours of non-stop 4K video recording. Apart from that, the phone comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, covered in Gorilla Glass 5. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and other specs include 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of on-board storage and a fingerprint sensor in the back.
It is pitiful that the smartphone just runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Nonetheless, supposing that you still wish to own one product like this, you can search them from a few online retailers, notably Amazon, Best Buy or B&H Photo. Also, it can be found at some brick-and-mortar retail locations today, and will go on sale at Best Buy’s stores on May 28.
