However, one thing that has set off a flurry of interest among all iOS fans is that Apple is ditching the classic “Slide to unlock” feature that unlocked every single iPhone since the very first model.  Instead, you can unlock your device using Touch ID, and then tap the bottom of the screen where you will see a simple instruction that says “Press Home to open.” However, we are sure that many of you want to go back to the old style of unlocking your device.

The “Slide to unlock” feature has always been an easy and elegant way to access an iPhone since Apple introduced the first iPhone model back in 2007. If you have got iOS 10 beta 2 installed on your device and you are not much happy with the new functionality, don’t rush to downgrade to iOS 9 since iOS 10 beta 2 now allows you to go back your favorite way of accessing your iPhone. How to switch back to “Slide to unlock” in iOS 10 on iPhone and iPad

Step 1: First and foremost, make sure that your device is running iOS 10 beta 2. Otherwise, you can check for software updates by heading over Settings > General > Software Update. If a message says that an update is available, tap Install to proceed.

Step 2: If your device is running iOS 10 beta 2, launch the Settings app, then tap General.

Apple seems to be aware of the feeling of its users who want the old style back. The good news is that you now can not only use your favorite style of unlocking your iPhone, but also make the most of the new features in the iOS 10 beta 2 update.

If you don’t like going back to the old style, you can easily disable “Slide to unlock”. First, you need to open the Settings app, and then tap on General. Once it is done, tap on Accessibility > Home Button and turn off the switch.
