HTC just announced its new handset, the HTC Desire 650, will land in the UK in February. The Desire 650 is the latest addition the Desire range of mid-range handsets, and successor to the 630. The handset will be available in two colors: Dark Blue and Lime Light. At the moment, the pricing for the UK market is yet to be announced. The Desire 650 may also be released in other European countries at around the same time or shortly afterwards, but there has been no official word on this so far.
The Taiwanese company says that the handset’s back panel has got a design that is half smooth and half grooved, which makes it more ergonomic while offering a firmer grip to keep it from falling out of your hand.
Powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, the Desire 650 features a 5-inch HD screen which is equipped with super-tough Gorilla Glass and expected to provide clarity and vibrant colors, a 13 MP rear camera with backside illumination (BSI) and 5 MP front camera with various selfie modes and voice-activated shutter. The handset has got 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot for additional space, and a 2,200mAh battery. It also includes BoomSound audio technology that appears amazing when you listen to music through headphones. In particular, the Desire 650 comes with an HTC Night Mode function capable of creating less strain on your eyes when reading in low-light conditions. It can also support any high-resolution music you may have.
