LG launches K Series 2017 & Stylus Android 3 Smartphones


Ahead of the CES 2017 tradeshow to be held in Last Vegas next month, LG has announced its K series 2017 and Stylus 3 smartphones. The new K series 2017 models consist of the K3, K4, K8, and K10.

The entry-level K3 2017 is powered by Snapdragon 210 chipset and features a 4.5-inch screen, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and a 2,100 mAh removable battery. The smartphone is packed with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Moving on, the K4 2017 is also powered by the same Snapdragon 210 chipset as the K3 2017 and comes with a 4.7-inch display, 5MP front and rear cameras, and a 2,500 mAh removable battery. It has got 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard expandable storage.

The K8 2017, on the other hand, runs on Snapdragon 425 chipset and boasts a 5-inch HD touchscreen, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, and a 2,500 mAh removable battery, like the less expensive K4 2017. The smartphone comes with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable onboard storage.

The most expensive new K-series smartphones is the K10 2017.  Powered by Mediatek’s MT6750 SoC, the handset sports a 5.3-inch HD display, a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens, and especially a big 4,100 mAh removable battery. It features a fingerprint sensor and has either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory.

The K8 2017 and K10 2017 run on Android 7.0 Nougat, while the remaining two K series smartphones – the K4 2017 and K3 2017 run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Finally, the LG Stylus 3 that is powered by Mediatek’s MT6750 SoC features a large 5.7-inch display, a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera (both with LED flash), a digital pen, a fingerprint sensor, and packs in a 3,200mAh removable battery, 200mAh bigger than the Stylus 2. The handset is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard expandable storage and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The K Series 2017 and Stylus 3 Smartphones will be showcased at the CES 2017 tradeshow. Pricing and availability information is expected to be announced next month.
