Motorola Moto G5, which was unveiled at MWC 2017 along with the Moto G5 Plus, is now available for purchase via a UK online retailer’s website. The retailer has promised the next day delivery. The device is priced at £169 (€193 or $206). There is no official word on when the G5 Plus hits the UK market but it shouldn’t be long now.
For some background, Motorola Moto G5 sports a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels for a pixel density of ~441ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 2/3GB of RAM, and 16/32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
As for optics, the Moto G5 comes with a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of 2.0, PDAF, and LED flash. Also adorning the front of the device is a 5MP selfie camera with an aperture of 2.2. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat installed out of the box, the handset is back by a removable Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery, and features a fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the Moto G5 include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
Regarding connectivity options, the Moto G5 includes, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC,FM radio, USB- microUSB v2.0, and USB Host.
Measuring 144.3x73x9.5mm and weighing 144 grams, the Moto G5 comes in two color variants: Lunar Grey and Fine Gold.
