The leakster Roland Quandt, who correctly revealed details about the Samsung Xcover 4 and the Huawei P10 before they were unveiled, has just revealed the price and color options for both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus handsets.
Quandt’s latest leak claims suggest the Galaxy S8 will be priced at €799 (around $843), while the Galaxy S8 Plus will cost €899 (around $948). Last year, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge launched at €699, €799 respectively. So, the new Galaxy S8 will be unveiled at the same price as the Galaxy S7 Edge.
There is no information about US pricing for the upcoming Samsung flagship yet, so, customers will have to wait longer to get the info.
As for color options, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are said to be available in three colors at launch, including two familiar colors: black and silver, and a new Violet one.
Samsung is expected to launch both handsets at its next unpacked event in New York on March 29 before they will hit stores a month later on April 28.
According to rumors floating around on the internet, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset in the US, or by a comparable Exynos processor elsewhere. They will also sport the company’s latest flexible Super AMOLED displays, 5.8 and 6.2 inches for the S8 and S8 Plus respectively. They is said to run Android Nougat, and pack a 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage with microSDXC support. As for optics, the S8 and S8 Plus will come with 12MP dual pixel main cameras and 8MP front-facing ones. They are expected to feature IP68 and dust resistance and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
