The game first launched in 2010 and published by Square Enix for iOS, XBox 360, PS3, and PCs. And 2 years later, Lara Croft: Guardian of Light was available for Android platform in July 2012. However, the fans of the game soon received bad news: Sony secured rights to make it available only on Xperia devices such as Sony Xperia Play, the Xperia S and the Xperia Ion. So, it takes up to 4 years for an exclusive on a game title. This is a really long time for gamers around the world, right? It’s possible that Square Enix forgot to keep it available on other devices, or Sony Ericsson truly had a long-term exclusive deal on it, or the game was removed from the Play Store a while back and forgotten until now. Either way, Lara Croft: Guardian of Light does make its way to Android devices worldwide.
The popular game has you playing as Lara Croft who explores different paths through the jungles of Central America in order to search for the Mirror of Smoke. Whoever gets this a powerful artifact on their hands has the potential ability to rid the world of light. To be able to save the world, Lara has to battle against Xolotl (god of Darkness) and Totec (Guardian of the Mirror), thereby recovering the Mirror before sunrise. During the boss battles, you have to solve puzzles, unlock all the best weapons, advance through platforms and shoot enemies.
Lara Croft: Guardian of Light is highly appreciated by its co-op multiplayer, stunning environments with no-load times, player upgrades, various weapons and rich visuals.
