Xiaomi unveils White Mi MIX at CES 2017, sold in China only

During its CES press conference in Las Vegas, Xiaomi, one of the largest Chinese smartphone makers, officially unveils the White color variant of the Mi MIX with a ceramic body. The new color will start shipping to China later this year, according to Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra. There was no word about a wider market release of the White Mi MIX. Besides, the pricing for the phone was not mentioned at the event. It is expected to be announced near local launch.

Back in October last year, Xiaomi Mi MIX was released in two variants, including 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage space (CNY 3,499) and 6GB RAM/ 256GB storage space (CNY 3,999). Both were only available in a Black color variant. Specifications of the White Mi MIX are similar to the black variants.

The highlight of the Xiaomi Mi MIX is its bezel-less design with curved edges on top with whopping 91.3% screen-to-body ratio. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 65-bit processor, this exotic phone packs a 6.4-inch (2040 x 1080 resolution) display with 17: 9 aspect ratio, a pixel density of 362ppi, and a 94% NTSC color gamut. It weighs in 209 grams and comes in two configurations that consist of 4GB DDR4 RAM with 128GB internal memory, and 6GB DDR4 RAM with 256GB internal memory. The handset is equipped with a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and 4K video recording, and 5MP front-facing camera. Xiaomi Mi MIX features 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It has got a 4400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The ceramic body makes the handset durable and scratch resistant, but offers a brilliant pearly white finish.
